General Objectives
The Basic Education Department encompasses Nursery to Grade 10 levels (Pre-elementary, Elementary, and Secondary levels) through the adoption of the Basic Education Program for the DC schools.
The program is designed to help the child from the pre-school to high school stage of formal schooling acquire basic knowledge and understanding, develop basic skills and abilities needed for his/her formation towards becoming a fully functioning person, a mature Vincentian so he/she becomes true to his/her vocation and role in God's plan for creation and mankind. The program is also designed to help him/her widen and deepen theses experiences as he/she goes from one stage of development to another.
This information is achieved through its academic offerings and its support programs that provide for a wholesome environment that facilitates personalized and group opportunities for nationalistic, religious, service-oriented experiences to be enjoyed by the child in his/her formative years. This is also facilitated through the adoption of a unified and integrated scheme in its organizational structure and personnel, resources both human and material, curriculum and evaluation.
Specific Objectives
A Basic Education graduate is expected:
• To posses basic knowledge and understanding, develop proper attitudes, values and behaviors, acquire mastery of basic skills, widen and deepen the experiences necessary in the development of the difference aspects of his/her person - physical, moral, spiritual, intellectual, social and emotional, that bring him/her towards becoming a FULLY FUNCTIONING PERSON
• To posses basic knowledge and understanding, develop proper attitudes,
values and behaviors, acquire mastery of basic skills, and deepen
the experiences necessary in carrying out his/her role in the family, home, school, community and country, that bring him/her towards becoming a MATURE FILIPINO
• To posses basic knowledge and understanding, develop proper attitudes,
values and behaviors, acquire mastery of basic skills, widen and deepen
the experiences necessary in living his/her role as a child of God and member of the Church, which that bring him/her towards becoming a MATURE CHRISTIAN
• To posses basic knowledge and understanding, develop proper attitudes,
values and behaviors, acquire and master the skills necessary for the formation of Vincentian ideals and virtues which bring him/her towards becoming a MATURE VINCENTIAN
